Larry, where did you pick up the batting helmets? I've been looking for some GU Tigers helmets and would prefer one from a good player from the 80's.

All my August pick ups Carlos Gonzalez Marucci, Shin-Shoo Choo Marucci, Grady Sizemore Sam Bat, Grady Sizemore M9 (auto), Matt LaPorta Hoosier (auto) game used Bats. Thanks

Larry, where did you pick up the batting helmets? I've been looking for some GU Tigers helmets and would prefer one from a good player from the 80's.

One of the local collectors here had them and was trying desperately to hold on to them in an economy that is less than favorable right now. Sad to say that when Detroit was hit by high unemployment, many people gave up on collecting. My offer was three times what he was offered by the best of the dealers and auction houses he offered them to.
During the 1980's the Detroit Tigers were not the easiest team to get items from, not like now, where they have a full time person dedicated to selling game worn jerseys and such.
There are more treasures awaiting a financial re-load on my part including some on the nicest flannels I have seen in quite awhile.

Here is a bat I picked up last week while working in Japan. I was working at the Chiba Marines stadium and asked if they had any bats. They informed me that because the team was away everything was locked up, but they did have a bat of the Seibu Lions outfielder Tomoaki Satoh that they could give me. Bat shows nice use on the back of the barrel.
