Man, that is serious cash. I mean, he's really good, but let's not put him in the hall of fame just yet!

Re: Votto Jersey
Its NEWYORK25 bidding up yet another item. The guy is having a great year but he has no track record he needs nine more before anyone can even think of putting him in Cooperstown. And lets be real this season aside he is probably only fourth best firstbaseman in the NL after Pujols, Howard and Gonzalez and maybe even Prince.

Re: Votto Jersey
Is there really such a thing as a "hammered" baseball jersey?? You need to check out to some hockey and football jerseys if you want to see hammered.

Re: Votto Jersey
Would be interesting if we could figure out who NEWYORK25 is. My guess is that it isn't an individual, but a major company. They also bid up a World Series Howard Jersey to close to around $8000 a few weeks ago. At some point, these become very big numbers for GU jerseys. Any chance any of the mainstream auction houses have decided to collect to sell at a big sports auctions (Sothebys, Christies, etc)? It's almost like the individual bidding has no idea how much this stuff should go for.

Re: Votto Jersey
Probably just a guy with a massive collection. I wish I knew who he was I could sell him items at three times their value and he would jump to pay it lol. There are alot of wealthy guys who troll the league auction sites. Last year there was discussion on here about a famous billionaire who bid very high prices on NFL auctions and nba auctions has jtnbafan who pays anything for almost any superstar item. i was bidding 13 grand on allstar jerseys and he outbid me. the joke on the howard is the phils were asking 3 grand and had no takers for it before they decided to auction it.
