The Old Timers game is a chance for the fans to see the old and new. Hall of famer Lou Brock wore this in a 1980's Old Timers Game. The jersey is double knit and exhibits minimal wear. The Cardinals logo is beautifully embroidered in chenille stitch. The "20" identifiers are two color sewn on tackle twill. The lower left tail contains the Wilson flag tag [size] "40", in addition "L.Brock" is written in ink inside of the back tail. Also offered are the pants which include button snaps and a drawstring including the Wilson tag [size] "30" and "Brock" written in the inner waistband.
that would explain alot. i think most of us were helping assuming the jersey photo was of a regular season jersey and not a jersey used in an old timers game.

you have the link for the auction?

Even an old-timers game jersey would have Brock's NOB.

Fellas, I think it's safe to assume that Brock never saw this jersey. I'm thinking a size 42 would be right. No sleeve number, no NOB, no set tag. Old timers game? Just words. The use of the term "chenille" irks me. THIS WOULD BE "chain-stitching". Chenille is a fabric used by a sweatshop worker to weave a GAP sweater.

So is it your opinion this is a 1973-1984 Minor League jersey?
