    Re: September pick-ups

Picked up this 2009 Kelvim Escobar dugout worn jersey today. Minor amount of dirt on the sleeve. I've been waiting to find an Angels jersey with the Adenhart and Preston Gomez memorial patches.

    Re: September pick-ups

Picked up a game used baseball from last nights Reds vs. Brewers game. It was Aroldis Chapman's final out of the 8th inning against Casey Mcgehee. Chapman's 100 mph pitch was hit by Mcgehee to Drew Stubbs in CF, Stubbs tossed it to Billy Hatcher the coach and he flipped it up to me. Ended up taking a blurry camera phone picture of Chapman leaving, and you can see Hatcher looking towards Stubbs where he is about to get the ball.

Not really an expert on baseball marks, but the white spot where the dirt/mud seems to be wiped clean for a spot. Could this be from Mcgehee's contact with the bat?

Most likely it is from the bat. I know you have seen leather marks on bats before.

What would be awesome, is if you could the guys bat that hit the ball.

Then you could match of the spot on bat to the spot on the ball!!
    Thank you,
    David

Really wanted to thank forum member Jeff Perro (jgperro) for doing a trade that got me this Brandon Allen bat (BMH said he's ordered only 18 LVS in his career).
