    BMH Cal Ripken Jr

I was wondering if Cal ever ordered a bat that was flame finished that was half-three quarter dipped in clear (the handle has no finish) it is a P72 model bat im not for sure on length and wieght as i dont have a scale or tape measure handy. The bat is powerized and has no underline under the 125 and is pre-99 judging by the stampings there is no MLB logos etc...

    half-three quarter dip?

I have no records for anything like that. Can you post a picture of the bat in question?

He has ordered the P72 FT finish bats before, maybe someone got over zealous with the lacquer.

All of Cal Jr.'s P72 documented orders for his personal professional use in 1998 were 35 in / 33 oz / Black Finish. Several orders of P72 promo bats (ordered without specified weight) were also ordered in 1998 with Black Finish and Walker Finish. The last documented orders of FT Finish P72 Ripken signature model bats are documented in in 1995 and 1996 (34 inches) and invoiced to Ike Co. Ltd (promo bats).
