Game Used H & B Bats from the 1920's
Did all professionally game used H & B bats from the 1920's have players names stamped in the barrel or did players use bats with blank barrels?

No, Not all were branded with a players name. Players with H&B contracts would have a script endorsement. Non contract players would have block letter last name, and many bats were sent out to players blank to try out and see if they liked them. When they were returned to the factory, grease pencil sidewriting would be applied.

Re: Game Used H & B Bats from the 1920's
Thanks, I found an H & B bat that dates to the early 20's with a blank barrel but has grease pencil side writing on it. The date is the only thing that can be made out on the side writing.
