Re: Your Top Five Eye Appealing Bats. Opinions Requested
I have to agree on Biggio bats! The tape, tar, and use on a GOOD Biggio can not be beat. Plus, he ordered so few bats in his career and he rarely let his bats out of his sight. They are very cool pieces!

I agree the Pujols bats are boring.
Another 2 players to conider for eye appeal are Miguel Cairo & Enrique Wilson.
Cairo would cover his bat in so much mota stick even if it did crack the mota stick held it together.
Enrique Wilson would do a perfect thin tape spiral up the handle or heavy pine tar.

My opinion may be biased but I always found Jim Rice's blonde, flame burned, spiral taped, and heavy tarred bats appealing.

I think Biggio's tape job is kind of blah..Nothing special at all..I like the guys that spiral tape their bats like Bonds, O'Neill, and Griff..Just my 2 cents.

Re: Your Top Five Eye Appealing Bats. Opinions Requested
Those are nice bats don't get me wrong. But for the subject of most eye appealing bats, Pujols bats don't really stand out from anybody else. I'm no Pujols expert but he doesn't seem to have any real player characteristics other than light pine tar? I also believe he frequently switches bats and never really hammers any w/ use. Doesn't take away from being great pieces to own, just not as eye popping as a Brett or Gwynn hanging on the wall. Plus ash bats with nice grain will always look better than maple.
