though i am not a bears expert i think to be fair you need to provide much more evidence than one game photo espceially from a home game when it is an away jersey to make such a firm claim. that is not fair to the seller. if you come back with better edivence then by all means i think the seller should retract the item.

Brian wore the traditional "Duke" cut, I believe it is called - where the seam is across the chest, just below the neckline, all the way up until 2006 where he switched styles. (It was a very common cut in 2000's Bears jerseys before they went to the current Bronco's Cut).

You will notice that the auction jersey has the (for lack of better terms) old school bronco cut - where the chest seam is stitched into the neckline which resembles the jerseys the Bears currently use.

Now, for anyone that knows the Bears knows Ricardo McDonald was #54 before Brian came into the picture. If you research some of his photo's, you will come to find that he too, wore the old school bronco cut. Just like the one in this listing- hmmm? I cannot find any pics or game footage of Brian that would suggest he wore this style if even for 1 game.

You'll say - what about the tag in the neck, it says 00-48. McDonald played in '98 and '99. Well, nothing concrete, but it isn't uncommon for the team to recycle jerseys. Could that mean the team changed out the tagging for the upcoming season - sure. I have seen it before. But, that also means that it could have been changed out at a later time, once the jersey was no longer in the locker room.

To the issue of the name plate. EVERY jersey that Brian has ever wore has his name from outside of the 5 to the outside of the 4. Do a search for Urlacher jerseys on eBay, and pay close attention to the name plates on the back of the retail jerseys. I bet they resemble the one that has been put on the back of this one. That's why I just used one from the 2000 season which was blue. Blue or white - it doesn't matter - they are stitched the same.

So, I have done my research. I have browsed the pics. I always do before I post. But I took the first and most obvious problem with that jersey and posted that one. That's why I said "without getting into detail"...

I am not accusing the seller of anything. I am not on here trying to tarnish his name in the least. He has a good reputation on eBay, and has some nice items for sale. I just have a problem with his item. The seller could have very well bought this jersey as is and is selling it based off what he was told.

Either way it is not a GAME WORN Urlacher Rookie jersey.
