Very sad and almost tragic. I hope he gets the help he needs. Domestic violence is a serious issue but here there were no injuries so it is not like he faced a long jail sentenance or anything at most he will get community service so there are clearly deeper issues here.

According to the report he hit her, so there would be injury.
