SCP Auctions Manny Ramirez 2000 Road Game Used Indians Jersey
I have been looking for an authentic game used Manny Ramirez Indians jersey for some time so I was excited when I noticed one in just opened SCP Auctions. Unfortunately after briefly reviewing the jersey I had a few very serious concerns. The most obvious being the lack of the MLB logo on the back of the neck on the jersey which has been present on MLB jerseys starting in 2000.
In an effort to make sure I did my homework, I searched Getty Images for "Cleveland Indians 2000" reviewing 778 images from the regular season, spring training, photo day, etc. Of those images there are sixty-two images that show the back of the jersey sufficiently to see if there is a mlb logo patch or not. Of these sixty-two images of spring training, home, road and alternate jerseys every single image of them has the mlb logo patch. Below is the SCP jersey as well as two images of Ramirez from 2000 showing the mlb patch.
I emailed SCP a week ago bringing the issue to their attention but wanted to make sure other members were aware of the issue before making a potential bid.

I noticed the same thing. I'm staying away from the jersey.

Not to mention that the nameplate is way off.
I have a 2000 road jersey that is hammered and photomatched but was planning on keeping it in the collection. Let me know how much you were looking to spend.

Re: SCP Auctions Manny Ramirez 2000 Road Game Used Indians Jersey
Just a brief update on the Ramirez jersey. I had emailed SCP Auctions about this item on October 24th and received a response asking questions and indicating if the item is not right it will be pulled. I responded on October 25th with answers and a request that they let me know the results of the inquiry. It has now been two weeks and I have sent four follow-up emails, none of which have been responded to. I do not expect an auction house to catch every single item with questions but it is disappointing that when you bring an item to their attention they promise to investigate and then will not respond to a potential buyer with the results while leaving the item up for bid.
There are currently two bids on the jersey and the highest bid is $550 right now.

UPDATE: I just received an email indicating that they have pulled the jersey from the auction. Glad to see SCP do the right thing!
