Best PEN for getting a Game used Base autogrpahed?

Is there anything else other than a sharpie to use that will show up well on a gmae used base. Very coarse surface.... post any examples.

Cal signed these with a special thick marker (not a sharpie). I'm going down Monday for him to sign a few things for me and I'll find out what make marker they use for bases if you want......

YES, that would be great if you can tell me what marker Cal used. I have used a sharpie (Rocco Baldelli on a rays base) and it doesn't look strong at all. email me at jahimiak33@yahoo.com

I was down @ Ripken Baseball this afternoon and found out they use this type of marker on bases:

"Uni-Paint ; Broad Line PX-30"

I was told it should be available at any Staples type store

how long ago did you get that ripken base signed? has it held up pretty well?

I believe it's been three years since they were signed and they still look like they were signed yesterday.

FYI just went to RedsFest with my base from opening day. This thread was very helpful in getting Votto with the proper pen.
