Exclamation ESPN TV jettisons Sunday night duo

Reports are that Jon Miller and Joe Morgan have both been shown the door by ESPN.

I will miss Miller, a fine broadcaster and classy gut. However, Joe Morgan, his ego, his constant on-air worship of the 1975-76 Reds, and his incessant petty criticisms of Ryne Sandberg HAD to go. I won't miss the little snot one bit!

He may have a classy gut, too, but that was intended to be "classy guy".

I always hear Joe Morgan is one of the guys keeping Ron Santo out of the Hall of Fame. Anyone know facts of this story?

Guess I may be one of the few here who liked Joe Morgan. As for Santo, I was at an autograph signing and the guy ahead of me said something to Reggie Jackson that Santo should be in the Hall of Fame and Jackson gave him a five minute (slight exaggeration) lecture on why Santo shouldn't be in the HOF and that Nettles was just as good and nobody was pushing him for the Hall. I doubt one former player can keep anybody out of the Hall.

Miller is fun to listen to, and I like Joe Morgan but his time has come. See ya!
