Does anyone else think that this is hilariously awesome?

If this is legit, it has to be my find of the week, even though I can't afford it. GET 'EM LARRY!

He did wear C. Jones for awhile:

So it's not out of the realm of possibility that when he 1st came up as a rookie that he had L. Jones since he still was listed a Lawrence (Larry) Jones at the time. In fact some of his early cards say Larry or Lawrence Jones on them and not Chipper.

Could Andrew Jones have been up with the club at the same time, thus causing an "L" Jones jersey and an "A" Jones jersey?

Most likely not. Andruw Jones didn't make his major league debut until August 1996. Clarence Jones was the hitting coach for the Braves when Chipper was with the team for the 8 games in 1993. That would be the reason for L. Jones.

Shows Chipper or Larry wearing that number in 1993. Also Andrew Jones never wore 16 and like somebody mentioned did not debut till later.

I found a pic of Chipper(1995 Fleer Ultra) wearing numer 16 with C.Jones not L.Jones.

Interesting... was he ever called up prior to his rookie year for a few games or anything? I should go look it up, lol, but I'm lazy

He was only up for 8 games in 1993. He was injured all of 1994.

Oddly enough, AMI has a Chipper #16 Jersey up for auction. It has the C. Jones on the back.

Is it possible that the L.Jones is actually a game issued and never made it into a game because Larry said, "Now that I'm a major leaguer, I'm changing my name to Chipper. Get this rag out of here." ?
