Selling a high end game used item

What is the best/safest way to sell a high end game used item, from one person to another? Auction house, escrow company, (heaven forbid) ebay?? By high end I mean $100,000+

It really depends on the item, but like Justin Said, Auction House Definitely and Me personally.....Nowhere but Grey Flannel.

Thanks for the responses. OK, lets say you and another person agree on a price for the high end item. Do you still go to the auction house, or go another route (escrow, ebay, person to person meeting) ??

If I were selling an item for $100,000 or more, and had a for sure buyer, I think I would try to meet up in person. Might even want to involve a lawyer or accountant or something just to make sure the funds are real.

            Just my thoughts.

I wouldn't give a commission to an auction house or eBay if you have a 3rd party deal. If the item is $100,000 or more and you are concerned, I'd travel to complete the deal. Do it at a local bank, get a certified check right there.

If it has to be via the mail, you have to use judgment and be very carefully.

Could have sold it in the for sale section here, just a tad over the $500 limit.
