Unhappy Former Broklyn Dodger McDevitt dies

Danny McDevitt, who pitched the last game ever at Ebbets Field, died November 20, two days after his 78th birthday.

McDevitt started with the last Brooklyn team, and went west with them to Los Angeles, where he played 3 years (1958-60). He split 1961 with the Yankees and Twins, then completed his career in 1962 with the Kansas City A's.

I saw him pitch on television for the 61 Yankees. I remember he had a sidearm delivery from the left side where he appeared to step toward first base as he threw the ball.
