At best, team-issued. The Rays didn't wear road greys in spring training at the time, to my knowledge. The #31, however, was not worn by any player during the 2001 season (can't say about managers/coaches). I'm also concerned about the lack of a fabric content tag (which includes the size) underneath the Russell label. It MIGHT be a jersey made for a late-season call-up that never came, but, given the lack of that tag, and the fact that Blue Chip has (unknowingly, I believe) offered a few questionable jerseys in the past, I'd probably hold off.

Dave, what about the fall league?

Heres just one example that comes to mind from Albert....He never wore 36 with the major league team obviously but he did in the fall league.

Fall league might be a possibility, but the lack of a fabric content/size tag beneath the Russell tag still concerns me.

honostly i wouldnt buy anything from his rays days. All of my hamilton jerseys have been either a 50 or 52. I imagine he has put on some size over the years but hope that info helps.
