Ebay Payback
Let me forewarn you that the following link contains some language.
For some reason, this came across my Facebook page and I got a good laugh out of it. I hope you do as well, especially since almost all of us have dealt with an ebay issue at one point or another.

Re: Ebay Payback
Wow, thats crazy. Ive heard similar stories like that in the GU community where someone is trying to sell a GU item, they get a friend or make up a new ID to post a want add for that GU item or something similar to it and willing to pay $200 more than what the GU item is selling for. Then some person comes along, thinking they'll make a quick $200, but get stuck with the GU item because the friend or new ID backs out of the deal.

Re: Ebay Payback
The guy just needs to require immediate payment through PayPal in his future listings, huh?

Re: Ebay Payback
well, i dont think it was a buy it now auction, so you cant use the immediate payment option. but, ebay should have it so that a paypal account is required (which i think it is) to bid on an item, and at the end of the auction payment is automatically made. this would solve the problem of all these deadbeats!

Re: Ebay Payback
I believe the tickets were to be picked up in person, so they may have had "payment upon pickup" option if they checked the Local Pickup box.
Ebay is not just about Paypal. Buyers can still use money orders (must ask seller first) and sellers can use other online merchant companies (Propay, Paymate, etc), which would make it difficult for Ebay to require immediate payment after every auction.
