    Minor league baseball stats

Not sure if this is the right forum for this queation, but I will ask anyway. I'm looking for some minor league stats for some former Angels players. The players only played one year in bigs and most Stat Websites only have their one season. Does anyone know or have access to some minor league stats for players that played from 1960-1990?

    Any help will help...

    Thx

Minor league stats are somewhat difficult to come by. Do the players you're looking for by any chance have a Topps baseball card? Most Topps cards had complete player stats on the backs.

    try this:

    http://thebaseballcube.com/search.asp?Q=

Scroll down to "player listings by letter" and find who you want. This is the best way, as I have found the search function does not work very well.

    Re: Minor league baseball stats

Thanks for the info, the players I need minor league stats don't have cards and if they do they are those Rookie cards that are short on space. I also used the Baseballcube website but again they don't have the minor league stats. The Cube is a great site but for some reason (no has the stats maybe) all the guys I want ML stats for there is just the players one season. Examples Bob Botz, Terry Wilshusen and Dick Wantz.

If you look hard enough you can find some stuff...

for example this site http://www.usfamily.net/web/trombley...Yr%20Table.htm says that Botz was a Northern League League Leader in won/loss percentage (tied).

    1955 Bob Botz, EC 13-3, .813

I assume that EC was Eau Claire, Wisconson

I forgot, you can also look for this book - The Encyclopedia of Minor League Baseball - 2nd Ed., edited by Lloyd Johnson and Miles Wolff, pub: Baseball America, Inc

Do you(or for that matter anyone) have a copy of this book? Can this book be bought or is it one of those rare hard to find books? How are the stats arranged in the book?

    Thanks for the responses....

I would have mentioned that book earlier, but yes it is nearly impossible to find, unless you want to shell out a lot of money to find stats on just a few players.

I have noticed the book is over $100, I also heard that there is a third addition coming? Is that right? Does anyone have a copy of the book? I want to see how the players stats are listed. Can someone look up Dick Wantz and tell me or send me what it looks like?
