Re: This 1989 Game Used Bo Jackson bat
Yes they did. They also produced these bats for retail.

Re: This 1989 Game Used Bo Jackson bat
Anybody got any answers on this as far as ways to tell the difference between game used and the store sold models? I completely trust the sellers story that it was acquired from the Royals club house. It is my understanding they only made Bo two for the all star game. From what I have heard someone on this forum claims to own one and I also saw another one sell at auction so that's why I am trying to find answers about this thanks in advance.

Re: This 1989 Game Used Bo Jackson bat
This bat could be legit. It depends on the length/weight of the bat along with your provenance. All I know is that there were retail versions produced (mostly Bo & Rickey I believe). I once owned a retail Bo bat and it looked exactly like this. I don't think there were any physical attributes that distinguished an issued bat from a retail other than size.

Re: This 1989 Game Used Bo Jackson bat
Thanks a lot for the reply.I am definatly aware of the retail versions of this bat after doing some more research I read somewhere that the retail versions had the length number imprinted in the bottom.Looks like I am going to have to send it to john at psa to determine authenticity, sure wish he wasn't going to charge me $150 dollars to do so thou.

I don't believe the retail versions had the length stamped in the knob like most retail bats. You might want to do your own research, see if the length/weight of your bat match watch Bo usually ordered. There is a Bo collector somewhere on this forum.
