BLEM stamp on bat
What does a BLEM stamp mean? Im assuming it means something is wrong with the bat. I have a mcgwire bat that has tons of use on it but it stamped BLEM beside his engraved name. Thanks in advance. Just curious.

Re: BLEM stamp on bat
BLEM stands for blemish. Your correct there must be something wrong with the bat and that's why it's stamped that way.

Re: BLEM stamp on bat
Is the BLEM reversed? If so, that means it's a batting practice bat. I've seen one other Mac bat with a reversed BLEM on it. The Cards used some balls for BP that were not up to MLB standards -- they were stamped BLEM. When Mac connected with one of those balls in BP, the ink would transfer to the bat.
