Need help quickly with a Bonds bat

I have the chance to get a Bonds bat that the seller said was gotten during spring training. It has the crossed tape job, but is an X bat Model 27 with BARRY BONDS in block letters. Seller admits not his normal length or weight, but says Bonds gave it to his buddy personally. Do players try a lot of different bats at Spring Training to get a feel? Any insight before I decide to purchase, but he has to know today. Thanks for any help!
