1973 Campy Campaneris size
Does anyone know the size Campaneris wore in 1973. I have a bad feeling about something i just bought.

those guys back then wore tight jerseys. unlike the idiots of today that wear bedsheets. 42, 44 tops. he was 160 lbs.

We put my sons 13 -15 team in retro 70's Expos uniforms last year. Do you know how hard it is to convince a teenager that players didn't use to wear p.j's liek todays players?

I'd estimate 38 or 40...those were the normal sizes for the diminutive players in the 1970s. For example, Joe Morgan, for most of his career, was a size 40. He also took a size 38 during the flannel era.

I was hoping you would respond. I purchased this in the last grey flannel auction. From your picutre it lloks like the tags are on the inside of the shirt, or am I just seeing things?

prichmond, Your eyes aren't deceiving you, those tags are placed on the inside front tail. That picture is from the McAuliffe section of this forum- it's one of the "aftermarket" jerseys but is the correct size and has the correct tagging.
