ADVICE: USPS package lost?
Bad day made worse.
I just checked the USPS tracking info on an ebay purchase and it said the package shipped from Texas and is now in Puerto Rico. The problem is I live in Massachusetts!
It went Priority mail and has already passed the 3 days to arrive (not unusual).
Has anyone had crazy info show up in the tracking before (or know why it might be routing thru PR first)? Any advice or thoughts appreciated...

Re: ADVICE: USPS package lost?
Hmmm... Well, if the package is still in the hands of the postal service, and is still being tracked, I would think that it probably just got mis-routed...
I'd REALLY be worried if they said it was DELIVERED somewhere in Puerto Rico

Re: ADVICE: USPS package lost?
Hopefully the seller just mixed up two tracking numbers.

Re: ADVICE: USPS package lost?
Things like this happen, I live in Wisconsin and sent something to Ohio before and the package took a side trip out to California first before making the journey to it's destination. You think of the high volume of packages and pieces that are delivered by the USPS, you can see why there will be a few mix ups here and there.
Good luck with your package!Looking for: Joey Votto game used items.

Re: ADVICE: USPS package lost?
I once had a priority mail package take 22 days to go one state over, but it eventually got there. The tracking is hysterical, I have no idea why it kept going to Tennessee and neither did the USPS.

Re: ADVICE: USPS package lost?
I had a 49ers jersey that i won at auction take 6 weeks to get to me. It was mailed from Ohio and it went to a number of places before it finally got to Hawaii. The tracking was very similar to the tracking of the earlier post. On the day i asked for a refund it arrived! As long as it is not marked as delivered you should be fine.
Always buying 1994 49ers and other quality 49er shirts

Re: ADVICE: USPS package lost?
I am in a similar situation now with a package sent USPS Priority Mail. Only this one wasn't sent with a tracking number. It was mailed last Tuesday, and I still don't have it. Do you guys think that it will show up? I've never had problems with Priority Mail in the past.

Re: ADVICE: USPS package lost?
Probably depends on the quality of service in the sending and/or receiving areas. When I lived near Wrigley Field, an area with some of the worst postal service in the nation, a Priority Mail small package sent to me from a suburb a bout 20 miles away took 5 days, and a Priorit Mail flat sent from the Dallas area took 2 weeks!
Here in Berwyn, the service is good, and I've had no problems with mail service of any type.
