What do you guys think about this aaron hat?

I emailed the seller about this hat a couple of days ago. There is no documentation from Mastro. The hat looks as though it may be a real game hat from that era (though I'm not a hat expert), but the 44 looks darker and fresher to me than all of the hats I've owned from the 1970s. It's hard to say with hats as all a person needs to do is add a uniform number to try to pass it off as real (please note that I'm not saying that this is the case with this hat at all).
