    Help w/ Seattle Mariners Jersey

Not familiar with Seattle Mariners jerseys. Would like some opinions on this one:

style, patches, nob, manufacturer, etc are all fine.
i'm curious about the font used in the year tag though.
specifically the "2". i'm unfamiliar with that font being used by russell at that time. can anyone else shed some light about russell using two different fonts on their year tags?

(the last pic is one of cameron in 2002 with his jersey hanging out).

    Rudy-
This is the same seller (Blue Chip Sports) who I have traced to selling several 2002 Phillies jerseys that all have an embroidered strip tag in the tail below the Majestic tag. The problem is-the Phillies never used an embroidered strip tag since going to Majestic! Chris Boyd commented earlier on the Forum about the same issue with these bogus strip tags in this sellers Astros shirts.

Check out his current offerings that include a Cubs Fred McGriff home shirt. The tag in the collar is in the same incorrect embroidery style as those found on the Phillies and Astros. Visit http://www.authenticgamers.com and take a look at Rob's Cubs jerseys. His has the correct tag/embroidery. Rob, care to comment?

I emailed this seller several months ago when he was selling a Tajeda green A's jersey with the same type of embroidery. I never received a response. I also made a post about the Tejada shirt on this Forum.

In regard to the year tag on the Cameron, I have seent his style of type-set before on various jerseys on Ebay, auctions, etc., however, not on any of the jerseys I obtained directly from the M's. I have recently seen this typeset on a bunch of Reds "game worn" jerseys, however, it differs from those Reds jerseys that have the team LOA's.

    Hope this helps.

I had wondered about this jersey as well, with the year tag being centered underneath the majestic tag, as opposed to most M's jersey tags that I had seen where the year tag is lined up to a side border of the majestic tag (like in the picture of Cameron), and also with the fact that the year tag is not touching/sewn under the majestic tag. I am a novice collector, so I have no idea if the tags in the auction item are common on good items, as variations do occur. They just look different from others I have seen. Hopefully experienced folks in the forum can share ideas. I have heard good things about the seller in the past.

Same seller has many Giants jerseys with no team coa or giants stamp. According to Mike Quick, without these, you're probably getting a game issued jersey at BEST. I told them about this, and they had no idea about the team coas, stamps, etc. I think they bought a boat load of bad jerseys without doing their homework first. Just my 2 cents.
