Thoughts on '75 Carlos May
Was hoping to get some expert opinions on why the "May" tag inside the collar is not as dirty as the rest of the collar? and what exactly is the number 25 indicating on the inside of the pants? Thanks!

I have no opinion on your specific question (sorry), I just wanted to point out that Carlos May probably was the only player ever to wear his birthday on his uniform back (his birthday is May 17th).......
picture(s) may be helpful on your item........

It's a little faded, but rock solid. I wouldn't hesitate to bid on this since you get the pants also. You don't get many chances to get the pants from the same year as the jersey.

Re: Thoughts on '75 Carlos May
The lining inside the collar and placket is satin, and is darker than the knit swatch used for the NIC to begin with.
Also, the "25" on the pants tag represents the pants inseam. Keep in mind, this was in the era where virtually every player wore their pants legs high, unlike now where the baseball pants are as long as the on-the-street trousers they wear.
Hope this helps.
