Exclamation WOW! Now this would be a true "White Whale"

In my many years of collecting, and a Die-hard Seattle Mariners fan I just realized I might have came across something that may still be in Griffey's own private collection of GU bats. As I had bought this cool looking older Mariners program from 1990 on ebay to add to my collection I noticed something alittle different with Griffey's bat. It didnt say "Ken Griffey Jr." it said "THE KID" and I was like OMG! Is there even such a bat/s out there? Only forum member BMH would know in my mind. So I impose the question does anyone own or even seen such a bat? And if so I could only guess the value to be well over 2k a bat. And the photo even shows some ball marks, wow. Just thought I might have came across something pretty cool and only wish to share with others and widen my knowledge in the collecting universe.

Question Re: WOW! Now this would be a true "White Whale"

I haven't seen that type of Griffey bat before...nice catch. And, it's dated directly to 1990 in the photo, based on the print on the barrel.

Of course, a couple of years later, he, Kevin Mitchell and Harold Reynolds emplyed the "Cash Money Brothers" bats...Griffey's barrel would read
C M B - 24. I wonder if Brian could comment on those, as well?

Just do a google search for "block letter 1990 the kid griffey". The second result will show you were one sold in a Lelands auction, years ago. I have a C271 1990 LVS block letter bat, which has KEN GRIFFEY JR in block letters. Only 36 issued to him in 1990.
