Awful Rays helmet... ebay

Wow. Ok, I will not opening say this helmet is a fake, but you can form your own opinion.

1) When was Delmon Young left handed?
2) The Rays removed the white sticker on top of the helmet, as do most teams
3) Delmon was drafted in 03 and played unitl 07 for the rays, never would have had this logo for a helmet, in 07 the throwback was st. pete saints , not devil rays
4) The back stickers on the helmet are the NEW blues sticker, circa 2008
5) MLB logo on the back has awfully incorrect placement


On the positive side, at least it is a helmet.

emailed the seller, no response yet. I am sure they are uninformed, there is no way anyone who did 5 minutes of research would have listed this as game used.

Jake, didn't they wear these in 2009? Or was it in 2010?

#26 in 2009 was Gabe Gross, he bats left. No one wore #26 in 2010 for the Rays.

the rays wore that style in 09 as a throwback, but they were revolution style and had the correct stickers. The selle got back to me today and said he got it from a show and was told something different, blah blah, blah. Nice of him to passive agressively point the finger

it is a large shell helmet. most players wear the medium size. depending on the date, i am sure it is correct for the period, but not the player. those numbers are aweful.
