I did look at pics on Gettys yesterday and found him to be using this style of bat in 2004 and again in 2006, but the latter all had the TPX logo on them, which would make me believe that it could be from 2004. It is just puzzling why the insignias did not appear on some bats like yours also.

players can request the logos not to be placed on the bats like arod for example, his bats also dont have tpx or mlb logos. it really is a non factor unlike an underlined 125 would be.
