I love it!!! I am a High School Footbal and Head Golf coach at Huntington ISD in Huntington, Tx and we actually use the sparky as our mascot! I would love for us to change to the new design. We use the same sparky but ours is all red and white. We are the Huntington Red Devils. Very interesting that they make claim that a disgruntled former Disney employee actually designed Sparky and modeled it after old Walt himself. Now that they mention it, there is a strange resemblance!

Those are real sharp, as much as I love their classics, those are nice. But wearing all black in the Arizona heat come August? Ouch...I hope those are just alternates.

Those all black unis were the alternates, here are the new home and away with the new helmets as well.

Not really a fan, personally I think they look kind of tacky(like Arena league uniforms)...but I think all the new Nike uniforms look very minor league.

I am a big time Sun Devil fan, alumni, and current employee. I have not made up my mind on the new outfits. The design is ok, but I am up in the air about the black alternates and the new helmets. It will probably grow on me, but Sparky on the side of the helmet will be missed.

Does anyone else on here have any Sun Devil GU?

I'm confused. In the pic above with the road white jersey the player has gold pants. At the official debut they showed the white jersey with white pants, which I thought was awful:



Which is the combination they're actually going with? Or will they mix-and-match like Oregon?

My thoughts:

1) I love the Sparky logo, but the new helmet is aggressive looking and very cool. That's the part I thought I'd hate most, but it is probably the best part of all the changes. I just wish they'd incorporated Sparky somewhere else, like on the shoulders.

2) The all white uni sucks.

3) The all black uni sucks.

4) The numbers on the black jersey, which fade from yellow to white, look cheap and tacky:
Arizona's recent pants have screen printed art on the side and I think it looks like garbage. Not a big fan of screen printing.

5) The new pitchfork is too busy on a white background. Looks good on the helmets as the border colors blend in, but definitely not on the white:


6) What version of Microsoft Office will include "Sun Devil Font"?

Unfortunately, there is now a down side being discussed about these new unies, according to a Chicago police officer.

Kenneth Epic, a CPD officer and Arizona State alum, is concerned about the new design because of the "Fear the Fork" logo's similarity to the logo used by Satan's Disciples, a Chicago inner city street gang. He is concerned that the gang members will buy and wear the new Sun Devils gear because of that logo similarity, and that regular folks wearing the new Sun Devis gear may unwittingly become victims in gang violence by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Like the black helmet design and the members own take on the uniform, just switch the white pants to black and you got a winner!
