What is issue with just posting pix...???

Of what you are selling rather than having to CONSTANTLY ask to have pix sent to a private email...

seems like a big waste of time to me...

Just post photos of all items being sold and this would just save a whole lot of time an effort...

    am i right!?!

    My .02...

    Yea....Bill

For most people the problem is that their camera's format is too large to post on the forum. At least that's why I am unable to post photos. Much easier to email them than to resize them all.

There are many free programs available for download that enable you to resize pictures.

"CNET.com" has dozens of these available.

For beginners, this is a good starter program:

Most of these programs are simple enough for a young child to master so take a few minutes, download one of the programs, read the instructions, and HEY, welcome to the 90's!

Unless people are taking pictures of their items so they can make 8x10 prints, I don't know why they simply don't adjust their camera to take smaller pics.

    Bill,

How 'bout when someone posts 10 photos and the following poster insists on quoting the entire message so all the pics are duplicated for his "nice jersey" response. That should be a one week ban.

Quoting in my opinion is just plain stupidity...

    But I get the point...

    Way too many "experts"

Question Re: What is issue with just posting pix...???

My PC knowledge is limited, so this question may sound dumb, but, here goes...

Is there any way by which either the viewers PC unit or the poster's email capabilities can be inconsistent to the point where what one person sees (or enters) can be viewed differently on different PCs?

I'm asking because I am in agreement with otismalibu's post about seeing the same long string of photos multiple times, but I'm hoping that I'm not inadvertantly doing it myself.

I recently quoted a post on the Redskins thread in making a "nice jerseys" comment on three vintage 'Skins jerseys that he had just acquired. On my screen, the jersey photos do NOT appear in my post...just the text from his post and my response. Is it possible that either (a) the photos that don't show on my screen DO show on another viewer's screen, and/or could his post somehow be set up to not duplicate the photos, but another poster's entry may include them?

Like I said, the whole concern I am expressing may be scientifically impossible, but, if it is feasible, I don't want to be contributing unknowingly to a pet peeve that otis and myself (and maybe others) share.

I always just click on Post Reply, which is right below the previous post.

Below that is Quick Reply, which can also be used. In fact, it would save me one click. But if you don't uncheck the little Quote Message In Reply box (in the Quick Reply box) I think it will quote all text and photos.

You can always Preview Post to see what it will look like before posting.

Anyone who uses Photobucket can also check the box below the photo's they'd like to post.

Then Choose Action > Generate Link Codes For Selected > copy Clickable Thumbnails and paste that in forum message.

That posts small thumbnails that people can click on if they want to see the larger version.

The basic "paint" program that comes on all pc's will resize photos.
