Brooklyn's in tha house...
What do some of you so-called "experts" think? I've studied this kind of stuff before. It's a jersey, no doubt.

I'm assuming you're kidding . . . my apologies if not. This looks like the Mitchell & Ness Cooperstown Collection jerseys sold in stores.

Seller's got cred.

The jersey might have been bought at a souvenir stand at Ebbet's field. Who knows? Nobody knows for sure. Were you there?

Re: Brooklyn's in tha house...
Cred or not, the jersey is a Cooperstown Collection jersey. The white writing on the back of the neck actually says "Cooperstown Collection" as does the tag on the tail.
Of course it wouldn't matter as he was never going to get near that amount for a retail jersey even if it was made in 1955.
Its sad when people make mistakes like this when they get too old.

I was more impressed that in the listing the 96 year old seller said to contact him at his place of work to come and see the jersey in person. 96 and still working, I guess this guy didn't save for his retirement!

Re: Brooklyn's in tha house...
Come on, the guy is 96 and probably just grabbed the wrong jersey for the picture.
I think it's worth the risk to get a 1955 Dodgers jersey and I am sure that he would work out the issue and send the right one just as soon as you win the auction...
Then again...everyone know's that they didn't sell Mitchell and Ness at the games. The Ebbets Field Flannels are the legit Dodgers jerseys that they sold at the game worn stands back in 1955!
