Not trying to pile on the guy here, but his season has been unbelievable. To date: 363 AB, 32 Runs, 11 HR, 40 RBI, .165 Avg, 153 Ks, 62 BB, .292 OB PCt.

Worst meltdown I have ever seen for a nearly full season.

I have seen guys hit under .200 if they didn't play many games but to have 2/3 of a season over and hit that low is awful.

That's why players need to be paid on performance not salary. Why should a guy get paid 10 milllion a year and bat 160. Have base salary and bonuses for everything else. Maybe some of these guys would actually care about trying to do better
