Re: Possible GU Baseball???
"Fraid not. This is a retail ball, similar to one used by some autograph dealers for autographing purposes because they are significantly less expensive than actual NL, AL and MLB baseballs, the first two of which were produced through 1999, and replaced in favor of the third.

Re: Possible GU Baseball???
I think I've seen these "Official League" balls used for batting practice by college teams, and possibly others. Although it's hard to tell from your picture, it looks as though there might be slight wear on it, indicating possible use by someone. Unfortunately, that's not much to go on.

Those are the balls you can buy by the bucket at sporting goods stores. My son has me tossing them almost daily.

These are the most common baseballs you can find in Walmart. I've never seen a college team use them before or any other league near or on a professional level.
