Possible Boggs photomatch?

Hi guys-

I recently aquired this great, heavily used 1989 Wade Boggs bat. without getting into too much detail, it was aquired after a Tigers game in 1989, and I think I may have matched it to a photograph taken from the same year. Maybe it is a stetch, but I thought part of the grain matched up along the side of the bat, and at the base of the picture, the pine tar stains and marking seem close.

i just wanted to run this by everyone to see. The great Kyle Hess is on the case as we speak (Thanks again Kyle, this board is a better place with you on it.)

Looks like a match to me. The grain and other small marks look to match up perfectly

Great match...no two zebras have the same stripes and no two bats have the exact same grain.

Thanks guys for the input! I was pretty excited about it. The bat meausres 34inches, not the usual 34.5 inches he normally ordered, but I guess he must have thrown some 34inchers in there sometime.
