    MLB Mothers Day 2011 Auction

As the 2011 Mothers Day auctions are approximately halfway through, what items have you won, bid on, are watching, or will be bidding on? What are your thoughts of the items. Some of the bids are pretty high, but then some have ended suprisingly low in my opinion.

Beyond Cano, which was a killer bat, is the Hosmer at $2,100, David Wright at $1,600 and close to the same for Matt Holliday?

At least it is for a good cause....

A good cause indeed. I didnt realize the Hosmer bat was that high. Out of curiosity, I followed the David Wright GU bat (no bids on my end though), and I was just amazed to see that thing go so high. Not to mention, that was one of two of his bats listed!

Im a Cleveland Indians collector, and I was surprised the Asdrubal only went for $370.00.

I will keep my eye on the Holliday bat just to see how much it ends at.

I still dont know if I like the continuos activity timing at the end, but it does make it fun.

I was in on the Cano until the thing went over 1200 0-4 game and I though 700.00 might win that bat

                  Hosmer was nuts...

Totally blew away my expectations... I was thinking, Jeter bat, Pujols bat, George Brett bat... or Momma Hos.

Does anybody know who is PuckFan3?

Did you see the bidding in the last hour for the Hosmer bat? It was Puckfan and Themikechu going back and forth, maybe 24 bids between them, taking the bat from maybe $850 to $2,100, just a total pissing contest. Very entertaining to watch!

It is fun to watch the bid wars on some items. I watched the David Wright go on and on. Entertainign for sure. Carlos Santana and Adsrubal both went for under $400.00 i think. I was expecting much more.

I was going to try for the Butler not game used bat last night and totally air-headed it. Got distracted with some house related and family related things and next thing you know it was over for a couple hours. Oh well.

I'm starting to worry about these auctions on MLB.com. I watched a Chase Utley autographed baseball get bid up to over $500 a little over a week ago. Not game used, and other identicals have sold for a little over $100. I looked at who was bidding and it was the same guy about 20 times. I can no longer find that specific auction...it has been removed. Makes me nervous.

Smoak bat went for $360. I didn't bid, given how little use there was on the lumber. Not worth it to me.
