News from Jeff Francoeur regarding the sayings on his bats
I just got off the phone with a friend of mine that has close contact with a lot of players. I told her about my Jeff Francoeur bat and how he used to put random sayings on the knob, so my friend asked another friend of hers to check with Francoeur to see what he knows, so she asked him the other day in Kansas City. He said that the "clubhouse guy" would put the sayings on the knob. I know everyone always assumed it was the batboy's, but I think Francoeur is referring to Bill Acree, the equipment manager, as the "clubhouse guy". I can't be 100% certain though.
Also, as some of you may know, Francoeur's bats stopped showing up on the market with those sayings around 2008. Francoeur had said that he stopped because his mother saw one of his bats that said something about "Big Cox/Cocks" and his mom actually wanted him to stop, so he did.
These Francoeur bats are fun to collect so hopefully this is helpful knowledge to those that own a Francoeur bat with a saying on the knob.kylehess941@hotmail.com

Re: News from Jeff Francoeur regarding the sayings on his bats
Agreed I have heard about it as well from him, he told us his "clubhouse guys" in Atlanta which consisted of some former Georgia Tech baseball players thought it would be funny to write on the bottom of his knob so while hitting people would see the jokes on the bottom. They were said to do this to the majority of his bats as soon as a new shipment came in.

I have one Braves Francouer left and the saying was covered over but by looking at it I figured out is said "Brian and me"
