    Value of a Game Bat

Through a trade I was able to get a Dom DiMaggio game used bat, all of the labeling including the size and weight match his shipping records to 1951 exactly. There is a small handle crack but that is the only problem with the bat no deadwood or chips out of the handle. I am considering selling the bat but would like to see what everyone here thinks it might be worth. Thanks

Re: Value of a Game Bat

Drasher99 - nice find. That's a great question. I don't know if I have ever seen a Dominic Dimaggio bat in the market. My guess is that if you consigned it to a major auction, it might sell in the $2,000 - $3,000 range - plus or minus ( purely a guess ). Because of its rarity, it may even go higher if two people really wanted it. I woudn't sell a bat like that on ebay. One idea if you are looking to sell it immediately and to get top dollar - is to consign it to John Taube. He gets top dollar for pieces like that and he may be able to help you with pricing. Good luck!! Jim
