1974 Minnesota Twins tagging.
Did the Twins use in 1974 a tag that just said 74 and did not have the word set or set number after it? I have seen one in a Lelands auction it just had the 74 on it. But this is the only one I have seen.
Also on the powder blues from 1974 did they ever use a blue swatch instead of a white swatch, again I have seen a blue swatch with just the 74 on it and not the word set or set number after it.
Funny enough both jerseys that I have seen with just the 74 are Carews.
Your thoughts?Rich Ellis

Re: 1974 Minnesota Twins tagging.
Rich,
If I recall the 74 are white swatch's that read "74 Set 1" or 2 ect... I have seen the color white swatches on both Powder Blues and Whites.
Interesting about the Carew's indeed.

Here is a 1974 home. I don't have a 1974 road so here is a 1973 road if that helps any.
Wanted: Minnesota Twins throwback or special event jerseys.

That Monzon that was sold in Heritage was the first players jersey from 1974 that I have seen a name tag in the collar.
It looks like funny stuff was happening in 1974. I have a 1974 powder blue that was recycled into a Danny Goodwin with his name put on the back and then recycled down to the minor leagues with another nameplate put over that nameplate.Rich Ellis

I talked to Bob Case today and Ray Crump the old Twins Equipment manager and both have seen the blue swatch with just 74 on it. Both said Wilson did not make a lot of sense with their tagging nor was it very consistant.
