Very cool! I haven't been able to find a pic of him using an Old Hickory yet (especially one with that much use), but maybe I'll have better luck when it is in hand.

We did make this bat for Dayan back in Spring Training 2010 - however, it was thru his agent. So I have no proof whether Dayan ever used it, or not. The bats were shipped to the agent, and he was supposed to deliver them to the player.

Picked up this mlb authenticated David Ortiz Marucci bat used on 5/21/11 vs. the Chicago Cubs at Fenway.

Did a little research and it turns out to be his 300th home run in a Red Sox uniform and his 358th career home run, Ortiz hit a two-run home run over the Green Monster in the fourth inning off pitcher Carlos Zambrano.http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?co...77966&c_id=bos

Ortiz ranks fifth in Red Sox history in home runs behind Ted Williams (521), Carl Yastrzemski (452), Jim Rice (382) and Dwight Evans (379).
