Picked up my 3rd Alex Avila home run bat....

Cracked on Saturday, but photomatched to Fridays three run home run in the 2nd. Getting them all signed on the 24th. Any suggestions on inscription, do I do career number or season number?

Im in the middle of this debacle myself.

Im not sure if i even want braun signing my HR bat of his. And if he was to sign it, i would probably ask him to inscribe which career HR it was, since the year 2011 is already written on the end of the barrel.

BUT I if he wins MVP this year and goes 30/30 there could be all sorts of crazy inscriptions i could ask for. So i think in my case im better off having him not sign it.

In your case i would ask for the career HR inscription for sure and if your feeling frisky the # hr it was during the season as well.

All 3 of those bats are just flat out nasty. Is alex avila your brother or something, its pretty incredible to have 3 HOMERUN bats from him.

Game worn Chad Henne I got for a great price. Member didn't want to sell, but he was a great guy and knew it was a grail of mine.

I'm no bat collector (I have none), but the Cano stuff is great.


I really wish the Dolphins would go back to the Marino-era style.. they looked so much better.. but nice Henne too.

Thanks man! I went with just the season number, they are pretty touchy on inscriptions I think I would have had to pay more if I added "career". Anyways I have him inscribing them like this: HR #__ and (the date).

Ive been able to acquire them because I watch a ton of games and follow Avila pretty close and the characteristics on his bats and the marks... so when a home run is hit I pay close attention to the next crack and contact the Tigers. I've been 3/3 so hopefully it continues . Thanks for the compliment... as I was typing he hit a two run home run. LOL

I picked up these Gwynn turf shoes pretty cheaply. They go well with my Hank Aaron and Ozzie Smith spikes. I certainly can't compete with my wife's shoe collection but it's a start.
