nebraska practice jersey question

i recently picked up this jersey and i was wondering if it might be a legit practice jersey.

it's made by adidas and is a size 48. from what i can gather, the patch looks right and the tagging looks correct, however, admitedly, i know absolutely nothing about nebraska football shirts. it also shows some wear with some burns on the shoulder

i checked with another collector and he believes that it looks like it might be from around 1996. if that's the case and if it's real, it would have been worn by eric warfield which is kinda cool

any insight would be appreciated

fwiw, i just found this clip from a 1996 espn feature. looks spot on to me

would they have worn the same style mutiple years?
