Tucson Padres Put Game Worn Jerseys To Use

A little late to the party, but found this story interesting. 2011 was the debut of the relocated Tucson Padres, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. Since, at the time, this move was expected to be temporary, Tucson did not appear to spring the big bucks on uniforms. If you have ever seen the team, you will notice that their uniforms and logo are about as bland as possible lacking creativity. The interesting part, however; is that like San Diego, they wear camo uniforms as well. Their camo uniforms are coming second-hand from San Diego, along with the pants it appears, to be reused in Tucson. This was a common practice years ago, especially in the lower minors, but today recycling of MLB jerseys isn't as common as it used to be. Anyway, found this interesting and I guess those non-nameplate jerseys can have the names easily removed without damaging the jersey. Two pictures are included to show the jerseys with the NOB removed along with the MLB logo left on, not to be replaced with the MiLB logo.
