Rudy, my dinner with James Brown I discussed his issues with the hobby at that time. I tried to advise him how to approach Game Used Universe's Forum, and he made me promises and never kept them.

I have not had a game issued Yankee jersey for sale in about 9-12 months. Anything else you wish to ask about my personal business?

As a new member to the forum, I wonder, do you people have nothing better to do with your time? Seriously. You guys need to get a life. As long as you are receiving real and great product, who cares who owns the freaking company. I have done business with almost every auction house in the business, and I have dealt with Historic Auctions as well. I wish I had all this time in my life to research what email people do things from, their middle names, etc. This is getting ridiculous. Hope you people can find something better to talk about than this stuff one day, like if things are real and fake, isnt this what this forum is for anyways???

                Larry-

First, welcome to the forum. I fell odd welcoming you when your first post is basically for everyone to get a life, but I'll take the high road.

Second, your initial post makes no sense.

If your interest is truly to know if items are real and fake, then you should see the value in the above information.

All of the information is valuable in helping the consumer make an informed decision on whether to buy or not to buy from Historic Auctions.

Unfortunately since Mr. Brown and his company have not been good about sharing information about conflicts of interest, people around here have had to do it on their own.

Feel free to enjoy the site. Not sure your approach to meeting fellow forum members is one I would have chosen, but you can make your own decisions.

As an aside in my tenure as moderator I have seen the same pattern time and time again. Every time someone is caught with their hand in the cookie jar, a "new forum member" comes on here and tells everyone to get a life. You're going to have to do better than that.
                Good luck,

                  Eric,

Great post. As you alluded, this is so very transparent. But, given who talking about, it's not at all surprising.

I have never dealt with the parties involved in this discussion in any way, shape, or form. Probobly never will. I do find this fascinating from an ethics standpoint. In my line of work if I had the ethics and conflicts of interest that appear to be going on here I would already be in prison.

goodness, she seems fond of game issued, superstar jerseys. apparently the lack of steiner certs on her yankee "game issues" don't bother her.

incidentally, i'm curious why none of historic's matsui, jeter, and arod jerseys (of which they usually seem to have many) never have any steiner certs.

joel, i'm curious when you went to dinner with the upstanding james brown, did james seem to have an odd, unrelenting fascination with your yankee procuts?

                      rudy.
I was curious to see the Yankees Clemens 2003 from that list above as we have one direct from Steiner, but the pictures have been removed from the eBay listing. The seller was MASAUCTION. How in the world can they get so many perfectly tagged "unused" jerseys? These jerseys are selling for big dollars too at $795 for that Clemens.

The pictures are removed by eBay after 60 days or so for all auctions. This seller was offering an "un-used game jersey" and they also referred to it is a "pro-cut jersey". I understand concern with who the buyer of the jersey was, but what is wrong with this jersey that you question the seller?

We're going down the wrong road questioning someone who sells game cuts.
There's nothing wrong with buying or selling game cuts as long as they stay game cuts.

There is nothing wrong with selling game issued or pro-cut especially when labeled game issued or pro-cut. We personally have been selling Michael Jordan pro-cuts.

Game issued are generally fine when they actually are "game issued". The Yankees jerseys sold by MASAUCTION look fine to me, but I am skeptical due to the whole Steiner Yankee control of the jerseys.

My question is simply how this seller gets an ARod and Clemens and other Yankees "game issued" outside of Steiner. I am very happy they are not pawned off as game used.

I have spoken to my Steiner rep specifically about these and he said "no comment".
