There are a couple of concerns with this alleged GU 1988 Yankees home Don Mattingly which make me doubt it's advertised status.





First, the NIC/year/set tag does not look consistent with the font introduced by Wilson in 1988, and looks to be a poor attempt at replicating the pre-1988 embroidery font for such a tag. Also, the jersey is a size 44...Donnie Baseball wore 42s at the time.

Shaky is right, the embroidery of the name and numbers doesn't really come close to resembling that of late 80s and early 90s Yankee jerseys.
