ManRam reinstated and given reduced suspension...
If you haven't heard - mixed in with the Albert Pujols signing and Braun testing positive for Banned Substances - Manny is back.
FOX Sports
MLB saw fit to approve his request and reinstate him. He is free to sign with whoever might offer him a job as the Rays say they have no interest in resigning him.
What gets me is he got his suspension REDUCED from 100 games to 50 games:
His penalty was reduced following negotiations between the league and the players' union because of his large break from the game.
IMHO he should have been banned permanently when he walked out on his team mates, his team, his league and baseball as a whole because he's to self involved to take responsibility for his own actions.
I hope the authorities in FL find him guilty of DV in the case with his wife and they throw his sorry @$$ in the slammer.
The game has been better without him and would continue to be better if he never gets signed by anyone.
When he ran and hid and immediately announced his retirement, that should have been the end of it. He left with 555 home runs and 1,831 RBI.
I have no doubt that he only wants to come back to inflate his own numbers with his own ego and get to 2,000 Hits and 600 HRs and then he will probably step out on whatever club is stupid enough to sign him.
Former team mates have talked about what a clubhouse cancer he is and other stories have shown how selfish and self centered of a person he is outside the clubhouse.
Go back into retirement Manny or at least serve your 100 Game suspension like a man.

Pete Rose should have left MLB for half a season after he was caught betting on the game, he'd be a HOF inductee.

Re: ManRam reinstated and given reduced suspension...
Thanks for the support!!!
Manny's fall and disgrace just make Josh Hamilton's story that much more inspiring...
One guy (Manny) gets proven to be a fake (2 Positive Tests) and QUITS on baseball but later decides he wants back and pretty much expects baseball will do it AND give him a lighter penalty...
The other guy (Hamilton) goes down the wrong path and destroys his own career - destroys everything in his own life, see the light and rebuilds his life before humbly asking for a chance (not even a guarantee) to come back and accepting full responsibility for his actions past and future...
Will Manny be required to submit urine samples one or two times a week randomly like Josh does? Probably not - because he's Manny.
Again, IMHO, this is a huge black eye on MLB and the MLBPA and a travesty they ever allowed this to happen.
