always looking for Detroit Tiger world series player bats......game used 2006 & 2012 world series items....Quintin Berry bats....also interested in Ivan Rodriguez bats... Thank you, Dale tigers1984@comcast.net
I finally photomatched a bat that I got a few weeks ago. Photomatched to a Homerun against the Red Sox on 9/25/11 and used all the way until his last at bat in the ALDS against the Tigers. Other photomatch is the triple he hit in the playoffs (I think it was game 2). Steiner authenticated LVS with a ton of use and an absolute ridiculous amount of tar. Funny thing is the bat has a born on date of 5/4/11. Pretty exciting.
I just checked and it looks as tho this is the bat Posada was using for his last regular season hit (a single) , last regular season homerun, and last time in the regular season he scored (on that hr) and drove in a run (drove in ARod as well on that hr).

Thanks for taking the time to look Joel.... That is awesome. One of the photomatches I posted orignally was off the homerun against the Red Sox. I didn't realize that he had his last regular season hit with it as well!
Got this bat back a few weeks ago from JT. He did an amazing job following through with the photo matches and authenticating the bat as the last bat that Posada ever used and documenting its use throughout the ALDS from last year. Quickly growing as one of my favorites in my collection!
There is no mlb authentication. Just Steiner. I photo matched it originally to the last bat he ever used and had JT authenticate it is such. Thanks for the kind words!

Ok even still you got the LOA that it came from the Yankees and have your own photomatched proof of the games it was used in. Still don't see a reason why you would need someone else to tell you that??
Hopefully Posada don't pull a Andy Pettitte and come out of retirement after 1 year off.
I dont think he would but then again you never know with athletes today. But he had options to go to other teams after the Yankees and decided to turn them down.
Unless he was to come back as a Yankee or if another team offered him some serious $$$ that would be the only reason he would come out of retirement and I do not see either opportunity being offered to him any time soon.
Where I would like to see things go hopefully he would be considered to be molded into a coach / manager. He has the intensity. I could see him being the next Pinellia lol
I'm curious if others find the "last bat" compelling. In my opinion the fact the bat was used during the ALDS is a much more significant attribute.

ALDS's come and go, but the last bat used from one of the rgeatest Yankee catchers / All time catchers is a 1 of 1
Theres plenty of ALDS bats out there in comparison to a last at bat which is just one and to add to it this bat was not only used for his last hit but his last home run, his last rbi, his last strikeout. Not to mention he is one of the core four, its an ending of an era.
Under most circumstances, I would agree that Steiner loa and photo match is more than sufficient. As you said, I agree that the bat is a 1 of 1 from one of the most beloved Yankees from the past 20 years. With the history of the bat, the amount of use, and the fact it is untracked, I figured this one warranted JT's stamp of approval.
