Willie Stargell Game Used Bat eBay

Is it just me or do the ball marks on this Stargell game used bat look odd? They look like ball marks that come from those dimpled rubber balls used at batting cages.

I asked the seller for a scan of the LOA. Something is being hidden here, there are plenty enough "ball marks" for this bat to earn higher than a 5.

That bat sold at MEARS' own auction ending 10/2/11. It had those "dimpled" marks at the time. It sold for $ 342.

Because of the way that they cover the LOO, I am guessing that it's an index bat.

Stargell did not order 34" K55 bats during this time frame 77-79.

According to Mears auction listing it matches factory records from 1977.
