    Best Paint Pen For Helmets

    Hello All,

I've found many threads talking about what pen to use for autographs, but never a thread specifically concerning game used helmets. I have a Casper Wells game used helmet, and he will be at Mariners' FanFest, so I want to get it signed. I'm going for a look that shows up well but is not too thick, dull, or bold. I'm thinking silver.

Below are pictures of the helmet:

Let me know of any suggestions you may have.

Les, just on Sunday I got Justin Huber to sign my 2002 Futures Game helmet... I used the Fine Point Silver Deco Colour paint pen. Have to shake it something chronic before you go out and make sure it charges, but looks brilliant. Worked now problems. I will post a photo later on when I get home. Also got a bat signed in black of the same product and that looks even better. Deco Colour for sure.

I love that first auto, the one on the green helmet. Where did you order your pen?

On Ebay do a search for Deco Color. I recommend "Medium" size for a full size helmet, but you may prefer "Fine". I would avoid "Ultra Fine" for a helmet. I have been using these pens for years and no other product comes close to being as good. The pens use to be sold at Michael's and A.C. Moore, but they stopped carrying them a year or so ago. I have only found them from Ebay sellers and that is getting tougher as well.

I actually like the fine look. I will peruse eBay a bit later on tonight.

    Thanks.

There is a place online called Misterart.com

I do not know if they carry them but that is where I order my Staedtler pens for graphing.

Nope, I used the same Fine DECO as in that picture. Its very similar to a sharpie in thickness of the felt tip.
