Re: USA Miracle on Ice game worn jersey
Drool.......
Very hard to come by and Morrow was a starter and no slouch - great player - went straight to the Islanders and won a cup.....
Should hit $50K would be my guess.......probably the greatest American sports moment in history.......

The Paul Henderson jersey sold for over $1 million a couple years ago. Not saying the Morrow jersey will reach that plateau, but if a couple aggressive bidders with deep pockets go at it, it could get interesting.

Re: USA Miracle on Ice game worn jersey
This is easily a six figure jersey, the magic of the Miracle on Ice team is like no other. Mark Wells' gold medal sold for just over $310K with Heritage a little over a year ago. I'm not comparing a jersey with a medal per se but that price is significantly higher than a comparable run of the mill gold from the same Olympics. It will be fun to watch.
Russ - Always on the lookout for Jim Abbott, Team USA and Detroit Tigers GU.

Re: USA Miracle on Ice game worn jersey
Auction ends tonight, only at $60K right now which I think would be very low for this item. Has to hit six figures, there's a silent reserve on it and I can't imagine Morrow would part with this shirt for under $100K.

Anyone know what the closing price of the Morrow jersey was? I don't have a login that allows me to view it...

$87K ($103K with hammer). I thought it would go higher and I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't meet the silent reserve.
